So our interim ceo won. I was fired Monday. Been taking this week to get our home in order and prep the new garden area before it gets any colder, but man ... this has been the most happiest week of my life! Scary but happy. Here's to new beginnings!

Starting November 1st, start building your supply storage. I know it'll be hard without SNAP, people not getting paychecks, but start with something as simple as a bag of dry beans.

How would you all deal with an interim CEO who is hell bent on getting you fired (along with the actual CEO)? She has filed false claims, is manipulating the board and has the backing of the CFO and his ability to lay financial cover for their misdeeds.

I think we're finally settled into our new home. We couldn't be more blessed. I missed gardening this year, but I'm certainly plotting next year's layout. At least I have baking season coming up and new grain mill and 75 lbs of wheat berries!

Kerr County and the Upper Guadalupe River Authority have tried several times to get funding to upgrade flood alerts on the river, dating back to 2016.

Some good news. We have been approved for a mortgage, found a charming 100 year old house, and have begun the tedious task of packing and down sizing. Inspections are scheduled, and we have a closing date of mid-June.
At 52 I'm buying my 1st home. Don't give up on your dreams, whatever they are.
