Once again; for me this is part of the root of my war guilt.

Even when we were "pacifying" we were doing nothing of value; bringing the war home to these people.
So yeah we pacified a village on paper, but in reality we brought daily fighting to 3 other villages. And the fact never ever changed that as soon as we moved that village was back to square 1

I sent one e-mail to the executive director of a non-profit that helped us heal from invisible injuries after war. One e-mail!

He just forwarded that message to their entire board, national employees and their media.

Exciting!

Facts
1) When tariffs are 100% on raw materials, keep in mind the "wholesale" price goes up that same 100%.
2) The "retail" price, (the price the consumer pays), is usually double +/- 5/15% margin the "wholesale" price. Essentially price goes up 200% +/-

Little does laundry now?

Really.

He loads up the washer and puts in detergent then moves it to the dryer.

He made a cake.

He sat at the table eating a can of salmon, cream cheese and Swedish knackerbröt.

His future partner/friends are lucky.

This reporter wrote the most informative and empathetic piece about homelessness I’ve seen in our local news in a long time

I did a research project on Housing First and can confirm: it works, but it can’t just be “Housing Only” and the support services are often first to lose funding
This program gets homeless people into housing fast. Will it be one of the last?
Amid a nationwide debate over homelessness spending, one man in East San Diego County just wanted a safe place to sleep.

A snowy scene cake by Little. He wanted it to look like a walk through the woods on a snowy day.

He made this cake without a recipe, eyeballing the chemistry AND it tastes good.

Remember when you proposed to me on that Asheville trip and I said, “no, not yet,” and you just carried on with trust and love and waited for me?

That’s trust.
Remember when you rode to Asheville on the back of my motorcycle? That’s a trust exercise!

She spoke like tandem bikes are prophets for the success of a relationship. If you can communicate and negotiate through tandem biking, you will make it.
So instead of dating profiles and algorithms, the ticket to love is making folks ride the tandem bicycle?
We rented one in France and the lady said most people returned the tandem for two singles! It’s not easy

May just find a way to finance a woodfire pizza oven and make these babies to sell from the farm to interests and beach goers in the summer.

All I’ve heard about this clinic from friends is they and there kids were met with compassion and sincere medical professionalism
More enraging bullshit from this shitty admin. I know kids who rely on this clinic.

We celebrate Xmas Eve with a German Christmas market theme. Kaisespaetzel, dampfnudeln and pretzels remind us of the night 15 years ago when we went to our 1st Xmas market before he deployed the next day.On Xmas day we have a Scandinavian theme, reminding us of the solstices we spent in Finland
