If your block finger is itchy, might I recommend the person who plagiarized my post word for word? And when called out on it, sent me some BS excuse about her faulty AI reposting without “crediting” me?

Thanks to @philoof.bsky.social for the nifty image of both posts. Appreciate you.

Mamdani is not the mayor of New York City tho is he? A former police officer named Eric Adams is the mayor of New York City.
Monday’s mass shooting may put concerns over gun violence back on voters’ minds, and have already lead some to scrutinize Mr. Mamdani for his views on policing. “He clearly does not understand what public safety is all about,” said Cuomo w/ @emmagf.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/2025/07/29/n...

When licenses get suspended for unpaid RMV fees, drivers can end up trapped in a cycle of debt that's nearly impossible to get out of.

I support legislation that eliminates this unfair practice and prioritizes fairness and opportunity.

Undocumented immigrants paid an effective federal income tax rate of 5.27% in 2022.

That means they paid a higher effective tax rate than 5 of the richest Americans…and a higher effective tax rate than 55 mega corporations.

So let me ask you: who are the real freeloaders?

This is such an important point. Obviously there were huge problems, primary among them economic inequity. But the fact that most things simply worked put many Americans in a state of entitled lethargy.
Bureaucracy, institutions and systems functioned so well that they became invisible except when they inconvenienced or erred; people are not civically educated so only happen to become aware of the bureaucracy and find “what the hell do these bureaucrats get paid to do all day” appealing
