This is quite exciting, a Linux centered ecosystem that is easy to pick and play, already runs Windows games, no need to stay in front of the computer after work hours for playing pc and indie games. Whatever price they charge will be the “yay or nay” factor I guess.

This is quite exciting, a Linux centered ecosystem that is easy to pick and play, already runs Windows games, no need to stay in front of the computer after work hours for playing pc and indie games. Whatever price they charge will be the “yay or nay” factor I guess.

I think people who pretend not being able to go out during COVID gave them PTSD should shut the fuck up. I have actual doctor-diagnosed PTSD, and I've lived in almost total isolation since 2019. No pets, no family. Just me. And I'm physically disabled on top of that.

So GTA6 got delayed again, until Nov 2026, that’s fine. But at this point I imagine the team is already in crunch mode, which means it’s another year on that. I don’t imagine they’ll go “we got another year slow down”, there’s been a couple delays.

A lot of thoughts on Dead Rising.
1st, did you know it was directed by the OG Breath of Fire Director Yoshinori Kawano? A quiet dude, he and I crossed paths one E3 and we had a great convo and would hang at subsequent E3s. Inafune gets too much credit for this game, where Kawano barely gets any.

Dead Rising's brawling sandbox gameplay and over the top satire are huge inspirations for my game Beatdown City Survivors, which is also a sandbox game where you find people, sometimes very annoying ones, who you have to help, because we all we got.

As someone who was part of a team that was laid off almost entirely months before the game came out, despite everything I'd still really like people to play the game that I spent years working on. Not every dev may feel that way, especially on larger teams, but I work on games for them to be played.
