When I see AAA companies pouring billions into share repurchasing all while laying staff off, I feel a little sick. Share repurchasing used to be illegal (until the Reagan admin effed that up, too). Buybacks are market manipulation driven by shareholders.

If you can't adequately sell what Polygon does, which there is a huge market for, you are bad at your job and should face consequences. And yet as always it's the workers who make what readers and viewers love and want who are punished for bad management.

My brain is finally accepting that Old Skies is successful (by our standards) and I can maybe disengage a LITTLE bit. It’s a gorgeous day so my wife and I are going on a hike and I shall make every effort not to look at my phone.

The story setup in Clair Obscur is really intriguing. Does a nice job giving you crumbs of lore through optional dialogue. I also love how every scene has its own weight and punch to it.
