This is first I've heard of the Fedora Man. I hope this isn't this poor kid's 15 minutes of fame. Done. Over. The expression on the face of the officer in the center is priceless.

This article is getting attention because the editor of a well-known publishing company is quoted as supporting AI for writers. His embrace of well-known brand name authors as reliable authority figures readers can turn to to get away from poor quality writing is also kind of jaw dropping.

I'd be tempted to keep it. Also, I haven't bought any yet. Guess I better at least think about that.

My now-and-again #humor study led me to read The Mystery of the Crooked Man by Tom Spencer. My enjoyment of the book was enhanced because I probably know too much about #AgathaChristie. Leading me to wonder if teenagers still read her. #mystery #BookSky blog.gailgauthier.com/2025/10/gett...

A friend found a copy of my first #middlegrade novel on display at a school library. It's been a minute since it was published, so this was gratifying, to say the least. Yeah, I'll be living off that for the rest of the year. #childlit #humor #sciencefiction #Booksky #Booksandwriting

Things only get marginally better when the kids are grown. You still have to do all that stuff, but no one is getting you up at 5:30 and you don't have to fight with anyone about homework.
It’s hard to exist and run a household with two small children and not feel like you’re failing at something every second. Right now I’m trying to figure out how to get our regular groceries. Fold laundry. Get something for a Mabon potluck, cook chili, cook a berry pie, and clean my house.

I read Bringing Up Bebe a few years back, and that author swore French kids don't eat snacks. I got the impression French parents don't know what snacks are. Are they another species?
Actual times my children have asked for a snack:

-while we were currently at the dinner table, eating dinner
-while I was cleaning up his sisters puke
-1 seconds after we narrowly missed getting hit by a car on the highway
