Unironically the thing I love about this point, is that it's a great basis to start talking to y'all about the fact that most of the people in jail in the US are just as innocent as Khalil. Many are Black folk that have been arrested with *absolutely no basis*, but wait *over a year* to see a judge.
The thing about the Khalil case is that it's very very good that he's free now but you can't have it take three months between "the government kidnaps you off the street for no basis reason whatsoever" and "a judge makes them let you go." You just can't.

En av de saker som stör mig allra mest i transvårdsdiskursen är hur man pratar om pubertetsblockerare – medicinen med en enda uppgift: att hindra förändring, anklagas för att den inte medför förändring.
Nor is this finding particularly damning to the field of gender-affirming care for kids. A lot of studies have found that kids on puberty blockers don't see big improvements in body dysphoria or mental health. It makes sense: Nothing has changed!

The thing is, when people don’t identify themselves it’s very hard to know which part of the security forces they are! Or if they are just random masked guys with guns! Maybe someone should look into how to solving this problem, with like, uniforms or badges or somesuch

ICE says it wasn’t them. DHS says they were Border Patrol. But honestly who the hell knows? They’ve given permission for any psycho to put on a ski mask, point a gun, grab people & throw them into an unmarked vehicle.

As someone said prior, the only reason Greta got released is because people were very loud about her specifically. There are still 8 other flotilla members detained, apparently without fresh water in bedbug infested prison. They all deserve to be fought for, too.
