You've been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who's coming to save you?

Ehhh....my pets will be in good hands, but not so sure about myself.

Ice hockey season is about to get jam up. In addition to the NHL and PWHL, the IIHF men's world juniors start in 30 days, the Olympics start in February, and the Paralympics (a good friend's son is Alternate Captain of Team USA) start in 100 days.

Speaking of #inverts, we found this red and black mason wasp (suggested common name) in our bathroom. Not sure how he got there. 🤷

For the first time, it's possible to track individual Monarch butterflies on their journey south. Cellular Tracking Technologies developed a tiny chip used to geolocate butterflies on their epic flight all the way to Mexico. buff.ly/mrNJ5y9

It doesn't have to be #WoodpeckerWednesday, I love posting them every day. Here is my sweet female downy woodpecker. What I love about this picture is how it clearly shows her using her tail feathers as a strong & agile prop. #BendItLikeBeckham #Birds 🪶

I enjoyed doing scientific research in college. Then I noticed scientists had little control over how their research was used in the policy/legislative arena. My legal career started with what I thought was a joke by one of my mentor science profs about becoming a lawyer. And now I am one. Voila.
What’s the lore behind choosing your career path ?

This juvie still hasn't figured out how to get into the bird bath and just hangs on the side to drink out of it. 🙄 I guess I should be glad he's not standing in the bird bath chewing up the fountain like one of his parents. 😂 #mammals

Same yellow-throated warbler chowing down on mealworms. The photos were taken minutes apart through my #DirtyKitchenWindow™️ filter. I promise you that there was not a tennis ball in the cup feeder for him to swallow. 😂

Hi, it's me again

I have these calendars. They are so pretty. @megstampede.bsky.social made them. They have a bunch of animals on them, like crows and humpbacks and cuttlefish and salamanders.

Each month has facts about the animals AND actions you can take to help them

And this little guy is a bold one to emerge from the water and show off his physique. Maybe he'd like to model for one of Celena Schoen's silly little frog face jugs at Mark of the Potter in NE Georgia. 😍

Get yourself a really cool and different advent calendar! Kids love learning about weird critters (eels are very weird, complimentary). Adults concerned about nature or just looking for a break from all the STUFF will appreciate the knowledge & art in this. C'mon. Do it for the eels.
This year we have sold 31% of the advent calendars that we sold last year 😓

The art is so pretty and colorful 🥺
The facts are so good 🥺
Eels are so cool 🥺
