The Interim Report is out on the Senate's inquiry into the 'Quality of governance at Australian higher education providers'.

@nteunion.bsky.social members haven't just been fighting against job cuts, but have also been fighting to ensure they don't ever happen again. ✊
Hundreds of submissions, thousands of petition signatures & years of campaigning = a Senate committee backing the reforms we’ve fought for to fix uni governance.
This is a huge step forward, won by staff speaking out.

The reputation of ANU is being dragged through the mire by the VC and Chancellor and staff are paying the price. Prolonged change is a mental health disaster for those who work there.
@davidpocock.bsky.social is right.
Changes at ANU are needed for long-term sustainability but there's HUGE concern in the community about how its being handled.

The prospect of further job cuts, especially without genuine consultation, will add to existing widespread distress on campus.

Liz is a credit to herself and her colleagues. The resignations we should be getting are from the Chancellor & Vice-Chancellor.

President Trump has no place imposing his ideologies on Australian researchers. This is an insidious intervention in Australia’s national sovereignty that runs contrary to fundamental principles of free speech, academic integrity and robust, evidence-based research.
