I know we keep focusing on Colbert and Kimmel as we should, but we also need to remember there are hundreds of people who work for these shows who also just lost their jobs because of this bullshit, and most of them are probably not millionaires.

Disney/ABC have a responsibility to refuse to participate in corruption.

Kimmel must be reinstated. If Disney/ABC agree to this extortion then perhaps creatives + workers should consider collective action to push back. Same w/buying park + cruise tickets if they bow.

Going through my reel from today and found a short clip of what led up to this amazing shot by @staceywescott.bsky.social

Gotta hand it to the guy - a lot of us scattered from the gas; he just parade marched back through it like it weren't shit

Charlie Kirk called me a ‘lunatic’ and a ‘prostitute’ and demanded I be deported.

Nothing, *nothing*, justifies killing him, or robbing his kids of their dad.

We don’t know the identity or motive of the shooter but murder can *never* be the response to political disagreements.

I wrote about what I think is a genuinely revealing document of elite depravity and impunity. It is shocking and sickening. But it's also a crucial moment. We're about to see what happens when conspiracy theorists actually get what they asked for but it turns out not to be what they want.

Scientists trying to find a way to noninvasively diagnose a disease literally got asked by doctors—you know, the FIRST DO NO HARM people?—

“Why do you want to NOT cut women open to diagnose a disease, like why would you bother trying to find a way to not cut them open?”

@michaelhobbes.bsky.social is it possible you guys haven't recorded an episode on Charlie Kirk?! Your podcast is the first thing I looked at when I heard the news!

some people are gonna need a few days in the fetal position and some people do best when immediately given a task and some people need to immerse themselves in joy and comfort

we have to let everyone grieve and feel this shit however their own nervous system needs. this is gonna be a long fight
It’s okay to be sad right now guys fuck stop telling ppl not to despair and get back to work, this is why so many ppl are in a state of apathy and dissociation cuz they don’t even have space from movement leaders to feel how they feel

A moment of silence please for #USAID, which is officially shuttered after months of dismantling.

Why a moment of silence? Not only for the employees. But also for the estimated 14 MILLION deaths by 2030 predicted without the agency.

A very simple thing you can do is stop linking to the NYT.

I know they do some good reporting but they are also actively upholding facism and working to subvert democracy and shaping your world view.

It is more work but it is better if we start starving harmful institutions.

What, exactly, are we celebrating tomorrow?

Our cutting off healthcare to the needy to enrich the greedy?

Our new concentration camps?

Our dying economy?

Our ditching due process?

Our corruption?

Our broken legislature?

Our corrupt SCOTUS?

Our ridiculous buffoon president? #FourthOfJuly

The "echo chamber" thing is nonsense. How is using a social media app with like minded people any different than hanging out with friends in person? I'm not gonna invite a shitty person over just to hear their shitty views.

GTFO of here with that nonsense.

And we thought they were spineless before. Some signed merch (maybe an Alligator Alcatraz hat, everyone loves concentration camp merch!) is all it took for them to vote and their constituents die
As Shawn McCreesh and Tyler Pager report, House Republican holdouts were apparently swayed to support President Trump’s tax and spending bill by signed merch and photographs with the president.
