It's totally fine for the right to establish complex networks of chudlords to harass and threaten left-leaning writers and marginalized content creators and anyone they please with impunity for months and years, but if you say "rest in piss" about a nazi, you get the boot. Bluesky is a nazi bar.

The goofiest bit about the "rest in piss" debacle that is quickly starting to form is that Bluesky has Mike "Streisand Effect" Masnick on its board. guess that means jack and shit huh

OK, But You Do Know You’re Eulogizing Charlie Kirk, Right? - Aftermath
Conspicuously, eulogies of Charlie Kirk from mainstream media neglect to quote Charlie Kirk. So here's Charlie Kirk in his own words.

@noescapevg.com was suspended for 24 hours for saying "Rest In Piss" with regards to dead right-authoritarian commentator and tiny-faced shithead Charlie Kirk, so that's a lot of fun.

I had to read this thread to make sure but this person is not talking about accelerationism at all; they're literally just talking about leftist irritation with bog standard protest movements, which is a tale as old as time. It's worrisome that they fucked up what accelerationism means so hard tho
really just beyond belief that anti-Democratic Party leftists would get cold feet about accelerationism lmao what do you people actually stand for

putting faith in institutions that are at this moment doing everything they can to roll over for the regime is actively putting yourself and your neighbors in danger. the democrats will not save anyone but themselves. the only people you can rely on right now are yourselves and each other.

I've spent the last two weeks feeling helpless, and man, what a useless time that was.

Time to get back on the horse.

Today marks a first: I am elitist and a gatekeeper because part of my criticism of that headass punk take includes speculating that the take-bearer has never actually been to a local punk show.

Sorry, “documented with sources and … unbiased” is not how I would describe a rant full of sweeping generalizations, wild misinterpretations of a 1970s-era cultural studies book, and fearmongering, but maybe we’re just built different from each other.

Read this thread if you want to read someone who has likely never been to a local punk show have A Take on what punk is, culturally
a fuckload of cyberpunk takes showed up on my feed all at once

Just a reminder:

1) punk is not inherently good, punk is against the status quo. punk is inherently reactionary and rooted in white supremacy + crass commercialism

2) punk as music has no relation to punk as literature

We might turn this into a post later.
All in all, there are many ways for you to get involved, locally and more broadly. It's gonna take everything we have to get through the next four years and beyond, but here's the important thing: we can do it if we have each other's backs and stay focused on collective liberation.

It's been a few days since the election. The post-mortems are flowing like water. Here are our takeaways re: what went wrong:

- Democrats didn't primary Joe Biden
- Democrats didn't take Gaza seriously as an issue voters cared about
- Democrats wasted time appealing to Republicans and moving right

A lot of people seem to want fascism, which kind of puts democracy in a bad spot, doesn't it?
November 6, 2024 at 4:16 AM
It's the day before the US election and everyone's sick of talking about it. The exhaustion and anxiety has been ruinous. Nobody wants to think about it, and it's all anyone can think of. This cycle, more than any other in my memory, at least, has been genuinely destructive.

Idk I think at some point we have to stop appealing to the humanity of the ghouls in power because it’s clear they have none, just strategic partnerships and donor-based optics and “realpolitik.”

I saw people being burned to death tonight. Motherfuckers don’t care about any of that.

I already mailed my ballot in. I already came to peace with the fact that once again my principles have been compromised in the name of *possible* short-term harm reduction, so, you know. folks can fuck off with their sanctimonious "enjoy the camps" bullshit around me for the next five weeks.

To the person who posted on my shit then immediately blocked, I just want you know your comment is invisible to anyone who isn’t already following you. Hope you feel better tho

I think at this point if you're gonna vote, vote *against* this motherfucker. don't do it under any illusions that the other side will be great; if anything, choose your preferred enemy. but as always: when you're done voting consider doing some shit to protect your most vulnerable neighbors.
The Alien Enemies Act was part of the package of the Alien and Sedition Acts that risked choking off American liberty before the constitutional order had fully taken hold.

It was last used to justify the internment of Japanese-Americans during World War II.

This is funny because I could've sworn I heard Dems say "we will not go back" and "doing anything with your vote other than voting for Harris is a vote for Trump," and "Trump will be worse" and here she is, vowing to install these same ghouls. Who needs Project 2025 when you just have both parties?

This is the nation we're defending from rising fascism btw. We live in a society where men like Michael L. Parson can slaughter men like Marcellus Williams with impunity despite every single person involved pleading for his life.

seeing a very interesting shift in how liberals talk to - and about - radicals lately that stems from - but goes beyond - how people engage with electoralism. It involves a lot of mischaracterizing direct action or revolutionary aspirations as not just wrong-headed but actively dangerous.
