This one's a little skinnier than I'd like to see him going into winter but if he digs in nice and deep he should make it.

I always enjoy bumping into the little two year old black bears out in the forrest, they're not aggresive at all and oh so cute.

Best of luck little guy.

Undersea ‘storms’ are melting the ‘doomsday’ glacier’s ice shelf
Spinning vortices of water trapped under the Thwaites glacier ice shelf account for 20 per cent of the ice melt. They’re expected to get worse as the world warms

Urban planners have no idea that everything they know to be “best practices” mean nothing now

it’ll be their citizens who will pay the price
This graphic predicts future temperatures, based on continued accelerated warming:

1.50°C by 2026
2.00°C by 2036
2.50°C by 2045
2.85°C by 2050

Of course, a lot of non-linearities are possible before 2050. Like a net-zero, carbon-free, sustainable vegan utopia. Or the other ...

At present the issue is how to reinforce existing infrastructure or fortify shoreline, or relocate, Indigenous villages. In future decades major coastal cities around the world will face the same dilemma. Metres of sea-level rise are committed, even if we succeed in reaching net zero.

For example this year I had a spiny yellow anemone come up on my drags, they are usually found in Australia, I'm working in Poole Harbour Dorset England.
