The most compelling argument for this is that Sam was once a baby raised without ChatGPT, and look how he turned out.
FALLON: “And do you use ChatGPT when raising your baby?"

ALTMAN: "I cannot imagine figuring out how to raise a newborn without ChatGPT."

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".

Listen, Paul Dano doesn’t need me to stick up for him, but this is just the most absurd conversation to even be having. It has nothing to do with Dano; it’s about the fact that Tarantino apparently not only lacks imagination about women but also lacks much imagination about men.

Read the room, Governor. People don’t want these. And AI is not an inevitable technology. It does not need to be. And not definitely not at this scale.
Gov. Whitmer submitted public comment in support of the proposed massive data center in Saline Township:

“We can set an example for the rest of the nation on how to build these facilities the right way and grow our economy at the same time.”

We need to be able to see that the line "accommodations have gone too far" is an expression of the ableist notion that disabled students do not belong in higher ed. Its fundamentally an anxiety about the fact that disabled students get an "advantage" over abled students.

#A2Council Read this & reflect on Council’s decision to set a low unit-density cap that happens to cover all the neighborhoods previously “protected” by racially restrictive covenants or were otherwise historically exclusive… as an attempt to appease “Pause the Plan” people (who were not appeased).
Great piece on how density restrictions in zoning are essentially BS.

It’s blowing my mind that schools, universities, public services would run headlong into this. We spent 15 years documenting black boxes. This is a black box in a black hole!
I don't understand how anyone can watch how blatantly Grok is manipulated to answer the way ownership desires it to and then act like the other LLM chatbots couldn't possibly be similarly but less obviously compromised to produce responses in whatever way corporate interests and priorities dictate.
