It’s Weevil Wednesday! Weevils are probably the most diverse and successful group of any kind of living things, and their adorable snouts are definitely playing a critical part in their success. I’m happy to complete a new illustration & sticker sheet design for them! 💚🌱

It’s 9/9, Japanese Giant Salamander day! They’re called Oosanshou, roughly translated it means big pepper fish. When upset, these big salamanders supposedly produce a stinky mucus that smells kind of like Japanese pepper 🌶️

Those whom I pass on the trail are known as Trailures. They are likely to hurt themselves and ought stay home reading about trails, not hiking them

Those whom pass me are known as Trailhards. They've sacrificed their humanity to hike marginally better than me. One must imagine them miserable

Hahaha, I love this photo of a snake nerd researcher from the Phoenix Herpetological Society using a fake leg to step on rattlesnakes & see how likely they are to bite. He "stepped" on 175 of them, and was bitten by only SIX. Snakes desperately want to just get away! 🐍🧪
