Well, it’s the day after Wallace and Gromit rode again – and it’s the 31st anniversary of the first appearance of the greatest sound effect in the history of the motion picture, so here’s the story of how (I found out how) they made it...

I should've done this sooner, but after 10+ years I'm done with Spotify! Switched to Tidal, using soundiiz.com to port my library, and it really was that simple. www.bloodinthemachine.com/p/a-complete... has great instructions and a comparison of the options.

My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’
This is so disgusting.

Every prompt to chatbot software is “generate me some text.” If it generated you some text, it performed its function correctly. It never lies, it never wants anything, it’s text generating software that generates text.
Not wanting to disappoint you so much that it lies is the last quality I want in a computer.

All shoes and socks entirely bad and bare feet also not great, study confirms
Researchers have confirmed long-held suspicions that there are no good footwear options and that having feet in general is just not ideal, a new study has revealed. The study surveyed all known…

I bought my Fairphone back in 2021 and this morning I woke up to a massive bunch of upgrades. Real lovely stuff. It's such a shame that this is the exception, not the norm.

Amazon have a bajillion dollars, but they still can't figure out sensible line length for body text. It's almost like they don't want us to read this.
