We warned you that self-driving cars would just create self-driving traffic jams, and here they are.

The car industry has no solution to the shortage of space in cities. Public transit, cycling, and walking are all part of the answer, but cars are not.
Waymo privatized another public street:

Chanel approaching 4th, San Francisco

Possibly queued for a Billie Eilish show at Chase Center ~half mile away.

The light rail train on 4th seen passing in front of this roboherd has more passenger capacity than all of them combined.

If you are using AI in *any* capacity, even fun little ones you think don't matter, just stop, don't actively (I say actively cause it's being forced on us all...) engage at *all* on any front. Choke the beast.

New Artwork

November was a tough month.
I’ve been working non stop this year and the art block finally hit, along with a good dose of burnout!
I still pushed myself to finish this piece and as always, I've spent a lot of hours painting hair😅
Hope you enjoy the final result💛

I just spent the last two hours debugging the Bluetooth stack *in anger* because for the last few weeks I've had to re-pair my mouse with my laptop. Every time. Remove mouse, re-pair.

Turns out I had two identical mice in my backpack and I've been switching between them.

It was me.

For the first time ever, I had to make a payment in crypto.

I can now confidently say that crypto payments combine the speed of a dial up modem and the ease of updating the drivers on a 1998 HP Laserjet printer.

3 years ago today, Riot Games offered me a job making more money than I ever thought I’d make in my life. I had 19 interviews over 2.5 months to get it. Partner and I were moving to LA for it. I put in notice at my job and apartment.

2 weeks later they rescinded the offer due to “headcount issues”.

One can't be angry enough about this. AI slop should die. frvr.com/blog/call-of...
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is littered with AI art slop, because your $70 means nothing anymore
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is littered with AI generated artwork which makes the $70 feel like a complete rip-off.

Wanted to produce something of value today and finish on a positive note, so I did implement Volumetric Cloud support for the Universal Unreal Unlocker, so you can now control (some) aspects of the volumetric clouds in any Unreal 5 game (if it uses it).

Welp, I was planning to do some work on Volumetric Clouds but instead I fought .NET tooling all day and now I'm super annoyed that dreadful platform got under my skin again.

If I could step away from that platform and never see it ever again, I would.

Due to .NET 10, I had to install the latest Rider version which editor is now so slow to type that characters appear sometimes a second after I pressed the key. As VS2026 is still an insiders version (not gonna burn my hands again on that), Rider is what I have to use, but it's in one word TERRIBLE.

.NET 10 released and Microsoft introduced a hidden breaking change for Linq providers: new string[] {} will be wrapped with either a ConvertExpression or an op_implicit method call expression to ReadOnlySpan<string[]>. As this is unexpected, Linq providers will break.

Lovely... (Fixing now)

Avalonia Enterprise pricing is something else... :X

My stuff is way too cheap, if I look at these prices and apparently people pay for this (3 day SLA while still paying 100K euros? what?)

XPF lets you run existing WPF applications natively on macOS and Linux with minimal code changes, powered by Avalonia.
