Currently the machine runs on borrowed energy/hardware and my hope (which will likely end in disappointment) is that the implosion of this parasitic industry will bring back what artists have lost, at least partly. Tho I have no hope that legislation will have any effect. Hence we need to stop it.

There will always be technical progress and if a technology replaces your labor it will always suck for the people doing that labor. Tho we should make a distinction here for the machine trained on copyrighted material to produce *that* copyrighted material in any shape or form without limits.

No, that's a cop out, as the LLM based generators are trained on copyrighted material without compensation. I get the need for faster tooling but replacing humans with tools in an art form is what we shouldn't want as society. Underlining that in a review is key, a lot of ppl wouldn't have known.

Hard disagree. Once tolerated it's blurring the lines of reality, causing irreversible harm.

Their review is great and spot on. A game is more than just 'gameplay & fun'.
AI slop has to die. As soon as it's tolerated, it's becoming more mainstream and 'normal', blurring the line of true art and derivative crap trained on real art no-one paid any copyright for.

ugh... why are they so incapable over there... I mean, this and for instance how long have they struggled with a proper TAA implementation, so much so that they needed an FXAA pass to smear up the crap their TAA forgot

If they calculate the 'we have to tone things down if it exceeds videomem' value with the same logic they have had since RE2, there's likely plenty of space left but the engine thinks it's over capacity :P

Yeah I expect them to bet on just a few customers/clients with prices like these.
