The announcement of new asylum measures by the Home Secretary risks fuelling anti-migrant rhetoric.

We reiterate our solidarity with our colleagues, many of whom are being subjected to increasingly hostile treatment as a direct result.

I genuinely despair at the state of the Labour government.
The proposed asylum seeker policy is totally alien to the party's internationalist values and the wishes of the membership.

These strikes could have been averted, if Wes Streeting had a credible pay and jobs offer for resident doctors in England to consider.

Nursing staff dedicate their lives to caring for others, and too often they are faced with the most appalling hatred and intimidation.

The government must stop pandering to dangerous anti-migrant sentiments and employers must prioritise tackling racism. Staff have the right to be safe at work.

Mid and South Essex #NHS Foundation Trust CQC report damning.

The findings of the CQC report are shocking but unsurprising. unitetheunion's workplace reps at the trust are far too used to looking after dedicated staff whose concerns about a toxic management culture and patient care are dismissed.
