Fewer Americans follow the news closely now than in 2016 (36% down from 51%)

Gee, maybe private equity destroying local papers and oligarchs buying up news sites might have something to do with it. Looks like it's all going exactly according to plan.

In 2016, 51% of U.S. adults said they followed the news all or most of the time, but that share fell to 36% in 2025.

well this just in, being disabled, especially as a young person, fucking sucks because the world is fundamentally ableist, medical care is expensive and it's all made worse by people not believing that you're actually disabled

The entire purpose was to harm us. Because having control over those who are "other" makes some people feel safe, and secure, and good.
And that inch was a completely unnecessary one, even if we want to be gentle with cis people who don't know any better

Trans women in sports? Puberty blockers? Trans people using restrooms? These were all SOLVED ISSUES THAT WERE FINE FOR DECADES. They didn't need to be picked at. It JUST harmed us.
just for anyone who lost track;

Hakeem Jeffries on a national news show, celebrating Trump's closing of the US borders, kidnapping people & throwing them into foreign work prisons. Sometimes ignoring court orders in the process.

"That's a good thing," he says.
Jeffries: "The border is secure. That's a good thing. It happened on his watch. He wants to claim credit for it, of course he'll get credit for that. In terms of making sure that we actually deal with the issues that matter, including on immigration, there's a lot that's left to be desired."

2300 in the last 10 years, but the vast majority in just the last three years. This is a targeted hate campaign for political gain.
People are surprised when I tell them there have been over 2300 anti-trans legislation introduced. Missouri is ground zero for these attacks. Many states copy/paste language.

Sharing for awareness on the rabid aggression against trans people. Ask yourself, why are they so obsessed?

Its yesterdays new by now, but someone in my Discord realized something about the Afghan shooter recently

It's widely reported that he was recruited by the CIA in 2011 for a death squad. It was also widely reported that he's 29. It is NOT widely reported that that means he was 15 at the time.

Trump is clearly on Ozempic style drugs. Yet protest graphics typically use older pics that fat-shame him b/c they know it really, really bothers him. It angers his ego that anyone might believe he's not perfect in every way and to him fat = not perfect.
