This looks GOOD. I stopped watching halfway through because I want to discover it all in game.

When Splatoon 3rd kits were announced, I saw people didn't believe it at first because it wasn't anywhere else. I didn't know about Splatoon Raiders until Stephen Totilo posted about it on substack.
The Splatoon news was on Twitter and Youtube later, but it was a strange morning.

Nintendo seems to be allergic to the terms "resolution" and "frame rate" and it makes these Splatoon 3 patch notes pretty useless.
"More detail" *might* mean higher resolution, but under the Switch 1 section it says certain objects won't be rendered. So maybe this means adding clutter objects or 🧵

If this game is $80 then I have to assume $80 is the new standard for full priced games from Xbox. The first game was not a AAA blockbuster. The sequel looks good and I'm interested in playing it, but I don't know how they're going to convince people that it's worth $80.

Summer Game Fest was a sad, painful show that laid bare the state of the industry. The vibes were off. Everyone's tired. It's not good.
