I think what you've got to love the most about passing on these gargantuan costs to consumers. The fact that there are several opportunities for accumulation (as this graphic from the BBC demonstrates). Wow! Nothing screams patriotism like untenable, crippling debt! It's hard to get over what's happening to NOAA, and I fear what will eventually become of NOAA. My first job in science was with NOAA 30 years ago. You can read about some of the work we did on the ocean carbon cycle in this data report.

The announcement in Wales has come with our own regressive step in England. The worsening of the #floods should have been a lesson but instead the government continues to bury its head in the sand. There is nothing sustainable about this situation just eternal ignorance.

M. bovis can survive in slurry for up to six months (Scanlon & Quinn, 2000), yet the government ignores evidence that TB spreads mostly between cattle. It’s heartbreaking to see badgers culled unnecessarily especially after witnessing the fantastic @badgertrust.bsky.social vaccination program.

Love a clear graphic! Our overly straight, steep slopes only facilitate flooding and fast flow! By adding a wriggle and, buffer strips of vegetation and naturalised banks, we can slow the flow and allow for excess water to be absorbed more gradually into the landscape. As ecosystem engineers (1/2)

Love a clear graphic! Our overly straight, steep slopes only facilitate flooding and fast flow! By adding a wriggle and, buffer strips of vegetation and naturalised banks, we can slow the flow and allow for excess water to be absorbed more gradually into the landscape. As ecosystem engineers (1/2)
