Nature lover. Easily distracted by squirrels. Probably a cryptid. Pretty much just post photos of animals. He/Him.
Managed to read 1 more book in January than I did in all of 2025. My year long reading slump might finally be over. #booksky

Minnesota, my home, is carrying a heavy burden right now.

Being kind is not being weak. The strength to care for others, to love and protect our neighbors, to be a shield and not a sword, to be warmth in the cold is true Minnesota nice.

Bought an OM System Tough TG-7 camera last year partially for its macro #photography. Also because it's nigh-indestructible and I'm clumsy. I still don't know what I'm doing, but occasionally I get some interesting results.

Humans aren't invited to the best deep sea parties. Understandably.
The deepest confirmed fish observation occurred at ~8,300 m. I know the shape behind it is another fish’s tail, but my brain insists it looks like the foreground fish is wearing a party hat. #deepsea #marinelife

First nature walk of 2026. Trying to build some endurance back up so I can go on trips later in the year and not crash after a couple hours.

A wonderful reminder to stay in character when everything goes wrong this holiday season.
I don’t always do this, but this year, I felt inspired and made a holiday card.

May your drums roll as you wish them to throughout the season and the coming year.

Florida has so many problems, but I still appreciate even the weeds can be beautiful.

you guys are being very cynical about this but the real explanation is that bears and Bigfoot are buddies. They like to hang out and do stuff together

On a rare business trip, surrounded by industry parties and loud events, and I just want to hang out with the hotel’s Koi fish. #MomentofZen

now they must agree on a system of self-government, allocate available resources to the greater good, and assign consequences to those who opposed the eventual victors

Where I grew up, there was a local chain of fast food restaurants that featured a perfect fried pork tenderloin sandwich. They were just the right size and thickness, with a special "secret sauce" and topped with cabbage to give it this perfect crunch. Heaven on a bun.
I don't want to hear about your lost loves, tell me about the restaurant food that haunts you because you'll never be able to taste it again

I’ve been blessed by the appearance of the New Year’s Frog. I’d never heard of it, but he assures me it’s a thing. Also that he now has squatter’s rights in my car.

Our local Christmas parade was last night. There were dozens of Grinches but only one Yeti and no Krampuses to be seen. We need to do a better job keeping the cryptids in Christmas.

Some years, I look at my listening history and am surprised to see what is different than my normal tastes. This was not one of those years. Unsurprisingly, a lot of comfortable favorites to survive 2024. #SpotifyWrapped

I’d say I made a new turtle friend in the neighborhood, but from the look on his face, more likely a new enemy.
