This is similar but more sophisticated than the attack on Squamish that happened a few years ago - it was two related groups: one a bunch of local shit disturbers who created an campaign, and another astroturf group run out of Ontario by Jeff Ballingall's "Ontario Proud" BS campaign.
Last fall, a blizzard of ads started running on Meta, targeting a tiny collection of postal codes in Southern Ontario. The ads seemed low-budget, independent. They weren't.
In reality, the ads were coordinated by a PR firm with strong Conservative Party ties.

I understand and appreciate the sentiment I do but thats not what it means either. The idea of being aware of systemic racism being made a byword by the right only to be sanitized as general good heartedness demonstrates how concepts are drained of vigor.

This Checkup was not great. If it's not the seemingly deliberate click-baity language of the title, it's the lack of solid fact checking/moderation. It felt like "two guys and a podcast"... #cdnpoli
There have been a few times when Checkup has been hammered on social media for a program we haven't done yet. I'm in a show meeting right now. The gap between what's being posted and what we're actually planning is enormous. Our regular listeners should expect the same care we use for every show.
