I have since been convinced that there was nothing political about this, that it was likely just a cost-cutting exercise.
This is unacceptable and deserves a political response imho. You don't make libraries more inclusive by getting rid of old books but by buying new books. 1/5

I have since been convinced that there was nothing political about this, that it was likely just a cost-cutting exercise.
If the Americans have grown tired of the Auto Pact, the Chinese would surely be interested, which would seem to offer productivity advantages.

This just shows how absurd the whole "armed conflict" framing is. The men on the boats weren't members of an organized armed force, and therefore the question of "perfidy" is inapposite. The problem is that they were civilians who were murdered.
