To me the most shocking part of the entire Trump shit show, but specifically the CPB defunding, is how wildly out of touch I apparently am with the majority of my countrymen. I really thought Mr Rogers, Sesame Street, Bob Ross and Reading Rainbow were universally beloved and not controversial

When those in power openly defy constitutional order without any accountability the only thing that will change anything is violence. But as long as our material condition is comfortable this will never happen. Everyone on the left talks like someone else needs to take action. I don't have answers.

In most cases, the scale of the damage from Trump's dismantling of federal agencies won't be felt for years. The successes of these agencies are often invisible. Tragedies that didn't happen. Disasters that were avoided. We forget that regulations are written in blood.
