so I spent the last month reading the textbook. finally made the revenge pie and the crust *still* fucked up, but at least I know why now (wrong flour, following recipe timing instead of observing for doneness, not chilling after shaping)

yeah I'm not going to bother finishing the fight with the boss. It's just the Fury again with a timer and an obnoxious new quick time event mechanic. I'm coming away from this wondering how this game ever got the acclaim it did. did people just remember the ideas, but not the execution?

I'm coming up on the final part of MGS3 (caveat: as delta). I think it's the weakest entry of the series for me and it's not close. the ratio of cutscenes and gimmicks to actual gameplay is not great
