Gave an essay exam over the novel “Never Fall Down” today. Going to thread my favorite “I didn’t read the book so I’m tap dancing” openers here.

sign The Boy up for a HAD call!
Having some creative differences with The Boy as I help him with his submission for the local Xmas story contest.

I know they want cute stories, but so far his ideas are:

“Santa stops bringing presents and kids come with pitchforks and torches”

And

“Dasher can’t get off the toilet”

This is fantastic and eye-opening reporting from @gracesegers.bsky.social about SNAP and hunger in a remote part of Alaska -- Americans we don't hear from much in national reporting.

More reporting like this, please, everyone!

Ladies, if you want your man to communicate, don’t take him to therapy. Give him one of those business astrology tests (myers-Briggs, enneagram) and tell him it’s what Tim Cook gave to all his mentees. You’ll crack him like a walnut.

We didn’t need all these biographical Willy Wonka movies about who he is as a person. In the older versions, he’s obviously God or the Devil. You’re supposed to spend the entire story wondering which one and gradually become worried they’re the same being
