Just to big up the #nhs: went for routine eye test last Friday (FOC - thx Scots Gov). 1/2 hour check turned into 2 hours, referred, received letter this morning with appt with consultant for 4th Dec. I'm not speculating - I don't know & am not 2nd guessing but jeez that was fast.

We have been pottering, walking the dug, cleaning out the hens, planting window boxes and moving bookshelves to make room for moooore shelves AND I've had a bath & been brought a mug of tea AND a mince pie. Oh and TWO hens are now laying.

We have been pottering, walking the dug, cleaning out the hens, planting window boxes and moving bookshelves to make room for moooore shelves AND I've had a bath & been brought a mug of tea AND a mince pie. Oh and TWO hens are now laying.

Leo, a dug, is in a huge sulk with me. He's had two walks in the rain today, accompanied by the cat who did not complain once, which he enjoyed at the time but has now decided he didn't ever want to and I'm a wicked, wicked woman.
And I've vacuumed the sofa which has messed it up for him.

I've been making a toile of a new frock. Construction & fit are perfect. It's a wrap dress and I prefer a modest x-over, but this is FULL coverage. In my enthusiasm I forgot to check how I'd like it to look, rather than just slaving over perfect fit.

Went to see the Gaia exhibition with @alistaircoleman.bsky.social today at Hexham Abbey. I'm not convinced it was the best setting for it, but I'm very glad we saw it. The regret of not would have hurt more than the 3 hour round trip driving through ALL the rain that ever was.
