Also - if you are looking for presents: my other favourite things that I have zero regrets buying even though for at least one I did not have the budget for (that's what baked beans are for, right?!) are these dolls from @canarylittle.bsky.social. For me they bring solace, beauty AND art in one.

I have this & adore it. I haven't hung it yet b/c I've been waiting for @alistaircoleman.bsky.social's pictures to arrive so we can move stuff about and make the cottage our home, rather than mine with him squeezed in. It's definitely staying in the sitting room tho - look at it against the blue!

So this is the pattern (again, I should have noted straight away that I'd want to alter the slope of the cross-over), the original pattern piece, and my fitted pattern piece. There's a lot going on!

This was the guts of the bodice - I forgot to take later ones! You can see there just how well covered I'd be 🤣. When it was on, the cross-over was at my collarbone level.

Went to see the Gaia exhibition with @alistaircoleman.bsky.social today at Hexham Abbey. I'm not convinced it was the best setting for it, but I'm very glad we saw it. The regret of not would have hurt more than the 3 hour round trip driving through ALL the rain that ever was.

Went to see the Gaia exhibition with @alistaircoleman.bsky.social today at Hexham Abbey. I'm not convinced it was the best setting for it, but I'm very glad we saw it. The regret of not would have hurt more than the 3 hour round trip driving through ALL the rain that ever was.
This is definitely worth getting out of bed for.

In which we met a smashing new neighbour Brian with his lovely rescue harehound called Jack and Leo, a dug made his first actual pal. And we agreed that dickhead was a perfectly reasonable word to use in polite society when talking about dickheads.

Just wanted to say a last HUGE thank you to everyone who cheered for and supported my boy. Circumstances meant I couldn't be at the finish line, but his girlfriend, dad and aunty were.

From this morning's walk. Quiet out there. I would LOVE it if the app shouted out COO!! or SHEEPS!! amidst the birds. Would have been useful last night for the young buck Leo, a dug spotted before I did.

Today I realised I think I've been low-level depressed for the last 10 months, beyond the sads of losing Beryl. And now I'm most definitely not.
