I simply think that industrial, commuter, recreational/leisure, and residential traffic shouldn't share the same infrastructure as they have drastically different needs and priorities.
Honestly the hook from Milwaukee to Pontiac via Chicago wouldn't be half bad if it weren't for the freight priority where Amtrak's runs get blocked in on from getting run through port & steel mill traffic.
That sort of regional line with no stops on that route should not be routed as such. x.x

i think part of what causes this is many don't imagine the cruelty they enact as *active*, but more some unfortunate reality they simply cannot do anything about/must engage in. you see people pull sometime 'we're not throwing you under the bus'. they see it more as 'leaving you in the woods'

Amal let me know Naser is out of surgery, and all seems to be okay. However, at the moment she has no shelter to bring him home to. I'm really worried he could end up back in ICU if they cannot afford the warmth and food he needs to recover.
