TGA/GotY discourse always makes it clear that:

1. There is not a singular "video game industry" (and hasn't been for a while), but instead a bunch of disparate scenes that no one person could hope to cover entirely (or realistically care about), but

2. Most folks don't realize it.

Quick question: of the previous, I don’t know, dozen presidents, how many people practicing law for them have been disbarred?

And Trump?

I finally got exposed to that AI slop country song through watching Colbert.

This seems like a clear example of how much machismo is all attitude and no substance.

“I don’t have to make sense to be threatening” - right wing America in a nutshell.

Just a reminder that we would not need SNAP benefits for working people if the minimum wage were actually a livable wage.

SNAP is a corporate subsidy.

I am going to make it a personal mission to mock everyone who posts a NYT link from now on.

Pretending they have any legitimacy left is foolish.

I feel like recall elections need to be more of a thing.

Just because you were elected does not mean the people should have no recourse if you screw up.

Fetterman, for example.

So, I get why people are pissed at the senate democrats, but he still can’t open the government without putting the house back into session.

Odds are better than even he finds another excuse to continue the shutdown. Or the Epstein files come out.

That’s a tough fork.

I don’t know, maybe it’s the fact that it’s been years and all we get are more promises?

Maybe it’s the informed people who’ve been saying the emperor has no clothes?

The studies that all show limited to negative productivity gains?

Throw away the pundits. Treating politics like sport is part of the problem.
all those analysis of the huge changes Ds had to make to win back working class voters, Hispanics, etc. was DEAD WRONG. they did not make wholesale changes and yet they won huge. Context, candidates, and intensity. That's it. throw away the pundit playbooks.

70% of the people detained have no criminal records. None.

Don't quote propaganda without providing context.

The criminals here are the ones kidnapping and imprisoning innocent people.
Shocking: they’re leaning in to the evocation of nerd imagery to further rally their base of reactionary antisocial gamers
