I’ve seen 2 skeets today about this, so I feel the need to say it: YOU ARE NOT FAILING ANYONE BY NOT WATCHING ATROCITY VIDEOS. You are allowed to look away. You can bear witness by reading or through protest. You do not need to traumatize yourself to prove you care, and fuck anyone who says you do.

Personally I'm fine with the term queer as a descriptor and use it more that I use "LGBTQ12A+" because it's to long and queer is easier to say. BUT I acknowledge that some people aren't comfortable with it due to their situations and will respect their wishes to no be referred to as queer

The recent discourse has shown me that we need a good slur for straight people. The best I have is str@ggot but that's to derivative from the f-slur

It's very refreshing to see that the Jamie Fox situation is being handled much better on here than it is on Twitter.
The discussions here are much more fruitful and acknowledge the nuances of the situation while not downplaying the harm that was caused.

I hope folks angry and annoyed at everyone speaking up about what’s happening here understand it’s actually about saving the platform. If this was about killing the platform or giving up on it we’d all just leave. Like we did with Twitter.
