Maguire reminding viewers that the number of asylum seekers & refugees coming into the UK are relatively few (most refugees stay in countries near to where they're from)

One might wonder then, why has this story been so prominent in our politics & media over the last 25 years?

What this article doesn't point out - because it's not news - is the fact that our Scottish Government is at no point consulted or informed about British budget planning. It finds out when we do. And then has little time to re-plan its own budget to fit.

Here's how it works...

Welcome to #Scotland where Category A nuclear accidents are being reported at Faslane and folk in Rosyth may be prescribed anti-radiation iodine pills.

Imagine if this story was about Plymouth, Portsmouth or London.

The shit would be hitting the fan.

In the Netherlands, unused spaces beneath bridges are being quietly transformed into stacks of sleeping capsules compact, secure shelters offering overnight refuge to those without homes. These minimalist pods are built from insulated materials, weatherproofed against rain & cold

I suspect that the trial against Peter Murrell will be gearing up in the next few months, timed to coincide with the election in 2026?

OR, it will be quietly forgotten about, since they know it will be kicked out of court for wasting police time?

Either way, it will be framed for max SNP damage.

Okay, I now see that the “all viewpoints” patter is code for:
‘We invited a lot of racists onto the show’

BBC Debate Night, Stephen Jardine: “we give all political viewpoints the same voice”
That’s problematic when you give the far right the same platform as the social-democratic & centre-right mainstream.
You’re giving cranks the same level of credence as those with cogent, evidenced viewpoints.
