🤖 oh ya each cable charges at a different speed, and others do data, there's also thunderbolt! and don't forget video...

⁉️ tell them apart? no they all look exactly the same! even your computer can't tell you the difference! isn't that great!

Trump is on the brink of betraying Ukraine and the UK.

Britain must lead in Europe by increasing defence spending immediately and all political parties should get round the table to make that happen.

I fear what happens if we don't take this step.

In the spending review, we will make sure public spending delivers our Plan for Change.

And this issue of good regulations building up into something bad is generally applicable and hard to stop.
Really interesting on what's happened to car prices thanks to well-meaning safety regulation - fits with the point I've/we've made (esp re housing), which is that we need to think of the cumulative effect of rules that sound lovely/virtuous in isolation martinrobbins.substack.com/p/britains-c...

Completely agree. The BBC is letting itself down badly by treating this as a story to be balanced between two competing claims. But Musk’s argument should be treated with the disdain reserved for people who think Covid vaccines implanted microchips in our brains or that climate change is a hoax.
To report, as the bbc radio 4 six o'clock news has just done, that Elon Musk has 'accused Keir Starmer of failing victims' is a bowlderisation and a sanitisation.

Rachel Reeves should reform the penalties system.
