As someone who has played golf since she was 7 yr old and had course etiquette drilled into me, I am embarrassed to see how my beloved game has devolved. Calling in police to prevent heckling and bad behavior from the crowd is heart breaking. Another norm trampled, as the world watches us,dismayed

Now that we know who the killer is, is anyone in the Democratic Party going to scream just as loudly as the Republicans did about the ludicrous accusations leveled before any evidence was available? And highlight the evidence?Have they not learned that "when they go low" there is no need to go high?

I could not agree more. With words and actions, Trump has created and encouraged an atmosphere of brutality and violence. Violence begets violence. All of us in mental health have warned about this contagion. It is way past time to stop this madness.
Elizabeth Warren on people who say Dems needs to tone down their rhetoric: "Oh, please. Why don't you start with the president of the United States? And every ugly meme he's posted and every ugly word."

Thank you, Senator, and I hope more of your colleagues follow your lead and speak up loudly, clearly, forcefully, convincingly, as often as possible. This is what "Leader" Schumer should be doing, every day.

Why has the NYT story: Trump Family's Cash Registers Ring as Financial Meltdown Plays Out not been getting more attention? Isn't this just the kind of corruption and grift that needs to be exposed? @chrismurphyct.bsky.social @jahimes.bsky.social

This segment from @maryannefranks.bsky.social is an incredibly tight argument that captures the breadth of the Trump assault on free speech perfectly and in less than a minute.

Spread it far and wide.
WOW. Watch a constitutional law expert completely DEBUNK Republicans’ censorship crusade, while articulating exactly how Donald Trump is threatening freedom of speech. 🔥

The Republican playbook on the Hegseth leak is to lay low and play dead, knowing that soon another major scandal will grab the public’s attention and we shall forget about this egregious news. Life under Trump goes on, until we lose all power. Because Schumer…

@schumer.senate.gov you are disenfranchising democrats and enabling Trump. The old rules do not apply any longer. Time to step down.

The governor of Maine stood up to Trump publicly, and this is targeted retaliation. This is how autocrats instill fear and compliance in the general population. He is threatening journalists, lawyers, and rewarding compliance and submission. Historically, this tactic works.

Another ominous development: The Social Security Administration is no longer allowing parents in Maine to register newborns for SSNs at hospital after birth, is instead requiring them to visit a Social Security Office to register their children.

Social Security now requires Maine parents to visit an agency office to register newborns
The change — immediately criticized by pediatric health advocates — eliminates a program that allowed parents to fill out a form at the hospital to secure a Social Security number for their children.

@jahimes.bsky.social Very disappointed by your still unexplained decision to censure Rep Green. Rep Raskin's reaction skillfully calls attention to both the hypocrisy and the profound damage the Republicans are inflicting on our Country. Which your vote somehow condoned.
Raskin: "So I assume if you really want to proceed to censure the gentleman from Texas for talking about no mandate to cut Medicaid, then certainly we're going to have to move to censure the President for using a racial and ethnic slur against a sitting United States Senator."
