In Trump's mind, there are no independent institutions like the Nobel Prize committee--a leader of a country should be able to make everyone bend to his will--he has! We no longer have an independent press,Big Law has abdicated to his will (with wonderful exceptions@markelias.bsky.social)and CEOs!

As I was saying, pathologically obsessed with Obama, this time with the bin Laden's operation and wanting to best it. Hence the pictures. One among the many motivations for this horrendously reprehensible attack, but not to be overlooked. All predictable.

I completely agree, but what has been devastating is the combination of grotesque insults described as "honesty" and the "grammar of civility" that have satisfied both factions of Republicans-the latter finding it a great excuse to still support Republicans while the base Trump base delights.Win-win

I remember his appearance on “ wait wait don’t tell me” and how funny and relatable he was, and how disappointed I subsequently was by his political stances and decisions. Hopefully, his fellow republicans will think of their contribution to his prognosis by their abject support of RKJ’s policies.

Love my senator's @chrismurphyct.bsky.social courage and expertise. He certainly is not getting the coverage and attention he deserves. Not flashy and glib enough for clicks? Probably needs a social media team more attuned to these times. Substance does not seem to matter these days.

Robert Reich @rbreich.bsky.social had predicted the shutdown would end when mayhem in the airports became too insufferable to the 1%. Trump had protected them until now. So I agree--no coincidence.

Time for the 25th amendment? The man who has access to nuclear weapons is not well and devolving in front of our eyes. Dereliction of duty from our elected officials. Does anyone remember when a president wearing a tan suit was said to damage the image of the office?

I agree. I am also really sad. But even more upset when no one officially steps up to control the behavior. There has to be a legal way to throw the disrupting fans out and away from tournaments, and the spectators should help identify them. Once more, we all need to step up and restore civility
