Is it egotistical I feel like a classic sculptor when I'm working with felt because the description of "seeing the art in the marble" is similar to my felt finally taking the shape I'm aiming for?

If someone once participated in active oppression and violence against a community only to later show remorse? They don't need to be welcomed into or around that community and, in fact, should remain under sharp scrutiny and kept away from said community. Let them do the work from a distance.

My local friend group is shopping small and buying small by doing Crowsmas; in which we all buy each other a small assortment of thoughtful trinkets instead of large purchases that would break the bank. It's a way to still celebrate while making room for friends who are struggling/unemployed.

Here's the thing: Having rapists and their crimes broadcast is not great for the mental health of survivors. But what's worse is rapists not being forced to answer for their crimes and face punishment. Survivors want justice so they can get peace.

Learning how to be a functional human being after over nearly two decades of abuse is a real bitch. The thing that makes it hardest, though, is there are certain things I can't explain for multiple reasons like not having the words or it being too personal. I just look dumb or mean because of it.

The victim was punished for retaliation against a peer who used her image to deepfake porn of her. They are both CHILDREN. If all she did was hit him, he got off easy. Meanwhile, she's probably goddamn traumatized. For shame on the adults in this situation.

My partner showed up for me in a big way by coming home with chocolate and immediately engulfing me into a long hug. After comforting cuddles, we started doing some crafts (I was felting, and he was beading) until we got hungry. At that point, he went out and picked up a comfort meal for me.
