Capybara got home and helped me set up a photoshoot for my new collection centerpiece.
The British Library's limited run facsimile of the original editions of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice with handwritten letters penned by the author and an information booklet about the history of the books and their production. They're artfully arranged in front of the protective case with the letter reproductions tied in a red ribbon. It's truly a beautiful and accurate set of copies.

I couldn't get good pics of the real deal, so here are the display shots of my anniversary gift. I collect #prideandprejudice editions and kitsch, so this was a perfect present. It's a facsimile reproduction of the original editions of Pride & Prejudice.

The story behind why I look ill is that I had a flare not too long before this was taken, and the owner of Seventh Shelf gave me a bottle of water. It was so nice of Golden Angel to still offer to take a picture with my very sweaty and sick self. If you want spicy historical #romance, try her stuff.

Check out the amazing job my girl, Le, did with my nails. She admitted it's been a while since she did cats, but I think she did an awesome job!

Capybara and I exchanged Boo Boxes today, and, as usual, he knocked it out of the park by getting me my very own cauldron. But even better? It's my favorite color!

Got my nails done, and my tech was the sweetest. She gave me a ton of freebies, and we chatted like old friends from the moment I sat down. By the end, she gave me a warm hug because we both got a little emotional. Shout out to Le!

So, the goal is to save up enough for a manicure with press on nails because ya gurl is not an esthetician, and my hands look like a war zone. I've got pretty much everything else arranged, including one of the most Sunnycore things to exist that will be my first unboxing:
The retail set box of Regency Cats blind box figures. It's a beautifully designed rich blue-green pattern with gold lettering and accents as well as pink ribbon over the product name. On either side of the name "Regency Cats" are two designed silhouette cam-meows of outlined feline profiles in black on white setting, framed by gold. I can't wait to build it up and then tear it apart to get at the cuteness contained inside.

Bella (my cat) has been my little champion as I ride out this roller coaster of awful emotions. She will come running, her little collar bell jingling, every time my heart rate goes wonky. I'm so grateful to have my self-appointed service animal. She took it on herself to comfort me.

Cool swag I got with my signed copy (plus a P&P print I bought from Cupid Bookstore in Philly).

HUGE thanks to @ofensky.bsky.social for my very first commissioned art of my WiP's main protagonists: Taebental the Despoiler and Cael. Tabby is in her natural form, having dispelled her glamor that makes her look like a Church fearing girl-next-door, and Cael is very not okay about it.

I loved having an #axolotl, but I'm at a point where I don't think I could keep up with the care (I'm disabled). I had the prettiest little glow in the dark dude I named "Swamp Thing," and he was my recovery bro on my rest days. I miss him.

My Switch is almost all otome games. This is a screenshot of the top of my catalog. One of these games is not like the others.

All but one... almost at the center is a game called Fishing Fighters with the foreground almost entirely owned by a large fish being reeled in by characters in the background. It's a bit jarring to be browsing hot anime men, and then suddenly, a fish is there. The fish is not attractive in the way the anime art is by my personal tastes.

A story in 2 parts:
A picture of the broken connecting end of a pair of metal tongs. The screw that connects the pieces is misding, having fallen into the pot of pasta I was making. I had to search a good 5 minutes to find the damn thing, and as the screw fell, the tongs flung the pasta they were holding as they broke out onto the stove. A stove with an assortment of cooked spaghetti noodles splayed out like victims of a heinous crime. The perpetrator? My tongs broke as I stirred the pasta and flipped the noodles out onto the stove. At least the pasta was delicious.

"We'll Prescribe You a Cat" is a great book and I'm really enjoying the audiobook. I've smiled to myself as I listened just because it's so wholesome in many ways, especially descriptions of the cats. If you read, I recommend having a kitty on your lap like Belldandy has been for me.

This morning, Capybara taught me to make a snake 🐍 out of pony beads. Next up will be a gecko and then an axolotl! I live doing crafts with others because it feels so bonding and intimate. Even if we're not doing the same thing, creating with company is a precious moment.
