My @jamesglave.bsky.social inspired clean energy tattoo sleeve is coming along nicely.

I started with a wind turbine blade through the heart, and just added a Francis Turbine runner, next up solar, storage and the ever so classic "maitres chez nous" fist with lightening.

Once again, can someone please explain to me how Canada's oil and gas sector has been constrained and that there is a need to invest in more production supporting infrastructure? The oilsands seem to be doing just fine.

Tonight I'm cheering my beloved @atleticoottawa.bsky.social and multiple bike racks were full, I had to go to one of the overflow racks.

A study of six years of longitudinal data across 14,011 blocks in 28 U.S. cities shows - again! - if you build protected bike infrastructure people will ride bikes.
Protected bike lanes linked to nearly double the number of bicycle commuters
Would commuters be more likely to ride a bike if they had the option to ride in a protected lane? New research led by a University of New Mexico School of Engineering faculty member says yes.

🔋🚗💰 Canada’s walled-off, uncompetitive car market is keeping the best options from the many Canadians who do, in fact, want EVs, write Clean Energy Canada's @racheldoran.bsky.social and @joannakyriazis.bsky.social.

EVs aren’t being forced on Canadians — if anything, they’re being withheld from them
Canadians are some of the richest inhabitants on planet Earth, so why are we turning into a technological backwater? More to the point, why can we not access so many

I love the Westminster Parliamentary system because of its absurd and arbitrary ties to tradition - it is a check on autocracy. Also, the system depends on a man in a tail coat and funny hat, whose job title is "Usher of the Black Rod", which is hilarious.
Black Rod has arrived and is summoning MPs to the Senate Chamber.

The dragging of the Speaker of the House of Commons is one of my favourite absurd traditions in the Westminster Parliamentary system. It is a beautiful thing.

I hope Francis does not get get his head chopped off should the Commons displease His Majesty King Charles III, King of Canada.
