One of the most dazzling birds in North America is the Indigo Bunting. Blue coloring in birds is structural rather than pigment. The structure of the feathers themselves are what is reflecting blue light. #BlueMonday

A male Southern Rock Agama (Agama atra) peeks over the top of a boulder in the western Free State, South Africa. This peeking seems to be a common behavior among this species, and the males can rapidly lose their blue hue when approached. #herps #lizards #NaturePhotography 🌿
