I do find it so wild that so many social media sites crush any smidgen of nudity and sex work because they fear being pulled from the app store, but the app store doesn’t even blink at rampant bigotry. Who are you really protecting?

The answer to online abuse is 100% not requiring people to use their real names to sign up. Not only does this not really prevent it (see Nextdoor and Facebook), many activists in repressive countries rely on anonymity to speak out. Removing this safeguard could cause real world harm.
