This is absolutely terrible news.

With the shifting regulatory climate (i.e., antivax ratfuckery), Moderna has withdrawn their application for their eagerly anticipated COVID-flu combo vaccine. This vaccine offered better protection than getting each shot separately.

Forget talk of "the China virus" and a "lab leak", bats –and the trade in wild animals – are a far more likely source of the Covid pandemic. Today, I write about the natural origin theory and sketch scenarios of how the virus could have got to Wuhan.

@kgandersen.bsky.social I am reading your 2024 article regarding the dust up with Don McNeil (about3/4 the way through). I am shocked and saddened at his actions and accusations. I hope your excellent response to this will be published more widely. Thank you for all you have done on SARS CoV 2.

Musk claims Social Security is a "gigantic magnet to attract illegal immigrants."

In fact, immigrants here illegally do not collect Social Security. But they pay $25.7 billion a year into it, a recent study found, so these undocumented workers are actually subsidizing Americans.

1/ I have been interested in the firing of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Charles Q. Brown, Jr.

Of course, Presidents are free to appoint the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs; however, in this instant, General Brown was serving the second year of a four-year term.

If you're of a certain age in this measles outbreak, this is worth your attention!!
I was in the yellow. Several years ago our school made faculty provide proof of vaccination. I got tested for antibodies & had minimal protection so I got revaxxed. So happy I was able to get informed and protected!

My friends, regardless of who you voted for in the past election, this kind of irresponsible (and obviously self dealing) action should be denounced.
Trump just suspended enforcement of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, a key anti-bribery law signed by Carter in 1977. For 50 years, it stopped corporations from bribing foreign officials. Now, Trump is letting corruption run wild.
