Right so after several recent incidents at work it seems like it's time to tap the sign again:
Never apologize to me when your cat crashes a video call.
Your cat is perfect.
I understand that the begging for attention is not charming to you but it is to me and I wish to see your cat.

This is why it’s essential, IMO, for us to:
*Do our Self as the Therapist work - through supervision, consultation, and therapy
*Have ongoing peer support
*Address our self-esteem & confidence
*Have regular practices to care for ourselves, including boundaries
*Take breaks!
This is why it’s essential, IMO, for us to:

Being a therapist means putting our ego aside; our work is done in private, in isolation, without audience.
There are no awards, applause, or accolades, just the quiet appreciation of clients. That, along with our own recognition of growth, must be enough.
