The Sounders have built a roster more reliant on players they’ve developed. But they’re also a club that defines itself by trophies won. Today, they find out if those two things are in conflict.

- Obed Vargas back from Mexico, was sporting a bit of a shiner. Schmetzer wasn’t worried about availability.
- Paul Rothrock wasn’t training today but is expected to be back tomorrow.
