For those who can’t protest locally but still want to help, a redditor provided a great suggestion. Call your representative and tell them they need to step in. The more people that contact their reps, the better. Here’s a link you can use to find your representative

Ideally, call their district office. Wait until Monday so you have a better chance of speaking to a staffer.
Over the weekend it will mostly be voicemail, which is still useful, and you can also follow up with an email.
Just to be clear, this wouldn't ban ICE from enforcing immigration law altogether. It would require them to have a judicial warrant before conducting enforcement actions on property owned or managed by the state or local government. That includes public schools, libraries, hospitals, sidewalks maintained by the city, and public transit areas. This is completely legal and consistent with California's existing sanctuary policies like SB 54.

I'm calling because I'm extremely upset about the recent ICE raids in Los Angeles.
