'Tiara by Halex will make your hair more beautiful', product publicity photo c.1960s. British Xylonite was located at Hale End from 1897, becoming Halex Ltd in 1939. The original factory was replaced in 1960. Halex was a major local employer until closure in 1971. #EYABeauty #ExploreYourArchive
