There are already 3 new housing dev along this road - people objected to this as it encroached on farmland adjacent to Battle Abbey site but they promised affordable housing🤔 @explorerdale.bsky.social

The Cuckmere has the distinction of being the only undeveloped estuary in South East England.

Its estuary and surrounding marshes attract a wide variety of wetland birds, especially redstart, little egrets and flocks of wigeon and lapwing.
