UK govt admits that England's water industry is controlled by criminals.

All water companies have criminal convictions. Their licence to operate not cancelled.

Still allowed to fleece captive customers, dump sewage in rivers, create health hazards, extract cash, enrich shareholders.

Thoughts and prayers don’t stop mass shootings, and they don’t stop climate disasters either.

This is a tragedy Gov. Greg Abbott did nothing to prevent. He still denies that climate change is real. He won’t act, and he won’t regulate.

Top White House officials used disappearing messages on Signal for top-secret national security discussions—violating federal law & risking our security. Even worse? A participant was in Moscow.

Congress must investigate. This betrayal cannot stand .

Be not afraid

The UK’s GDP is 50% bigger than Russia’s and GDP per capita three times as great (as with most EU countries).

The economic power of the EU alone (without the UK) is EIGHT times larger than Russia.

The EU is a superpower. Russia is not. And should not be treated like one

I'm on the left on most issues, but the way that Nayib Bukele has dealt with organized crime is absolutely exemplary and should be adopted all over the world. I simply cannot fathom people crying over the human rights of criminal gang members who have committed the most horrific crimes.

Ukraine is bombing Russian oil facilities to damage their ability to wage war.

Russia is bombing Ukrainian hospitals to show the world that Russia is a depraved and degenerate nation that places no value on human life.

Our actual enemies *and* the BBC’s commercial rivals hate everything that makes it important & valuable. (And they don’t help themselves much these days in all sorts of ways.)
But this is a crucial test of the current government’s resolve.
NEW: BBC bosses will make push for government to take back costs of the World Service, amid an “aggressive” Russian state disinformation drive

Now “undeniable” case for using world service to push western values, they say. State media moves in when WS moves out.
