I'm sort of a lurker. If I follow you and I don't know you, I'd almost prefer it if you don't follow back. I'm doing fine over here on my own ✌️

Lol in the wind tunnel of a congressional chamber, shame slides off these oiled-up pigs without regard for any already-minimal friction. Basic physics, senator. And ignorance is no excuse, in your case.
Hassan: My vote was to do two things: 1) Make sure the government is functioning… 2) continue the fight to a realistic platform to get the premium tax cuts done. If that is not successful, then shame on the Republican Party and shame on Donald Trump.

Ambetter (different state) is my insurer, too. They've always been good to me. Last yr, my premiums went down; this yr, they're going back to the previous high. I'm self-employed, & my narcolepsy meds make insurance worth the cost. But this change here? Moneychangers' tables shld be gettin nervous.

This is so cool. I'm gonna manifest myself a fam that does cool stuff like this!
sharing what my family does because it is kind of crazy:
1. for each big holiday you have a semi-permanent dish. you bring that every year
2. if you want to try something new it must be in addition to your usual
3. if you are a new adult, you make deviled eggs until the next person comes of age

are potluck thanksgivings not the norm?
my family is so big that if one person tried to host our family dinner it would be like $1,000 dollars

Donnie is no dummy (about self-preservation and reading the room), unlike the DNC, whose distance from Mamdani has now permitted Trump to try to stand next to him and look sagacious doing so.

ah, perhaps instead of pumping millions into endless factional infighting Dem donors could invest in making local Dem organizations genuine civic spaces that can reach people during and between elections

Claire McCaskill was on Morning Joe (couldn't help myself; wanted to see what they were saying) talking mess about how Mandani's campaign couldn't win everywhere, and that's why she lost her seat in Missouri. He said nothing radical. Just pro-social stuff.
Just to pre-empt the pundits, I absolutely believe you could run a Mamdani in middle America and win

No, it does matter. First, we can't be reelecting a bunch of do-nothings. Second, Mamdani won his primary first, and his pro-social, anti-greed policies separated him from the herd. Distinctions like that matter; so does running a campaign like you're starting a community organization (you shld be).
I think a thing we'll learn tonight is that people fucking hate what is going on and they will straight ticket vote against anyone involved in starving people while pillaging the country and kidnapping their neighbors. I don't think it matters at all who that person is.

If it weren't for Dick Cheney, I might still be a Republican. His push to invade Iraq to enrich his company and cronies was the first of several events in my junior year of college that caused the scales to fall from my eyes. Thanks for everything, Dick.

Former coffee bar owner here. This is accurate. Also, gram for gram, your espresso is more costly than other great options. I have a Nomad (fantastic, cheap, not made anymore), which shines at 16.5g per 2oz shot, but if I want a ≥12oz drink, my Hario syphon is more cost effective (24.5g v. 16.5g×2).
the fun thing about home espresso brewing is it will absolutely not save you money, especially if you are the kind of person who tends to become obsessive about technical details

Incredible. So glad to see that this is floating into the establishment.
Holder: The Supreme Court is a broken institution. And it’s something that has to be part of the national conversation in ’26 and in ’28.
If there is a Democratic trifecta in 2028—and I think the possibility of that is pretty good—Supreme Court reform has to be on the table.
