Isn't it a staff members job to offer help to customers? Aparently trans people aren't allowed to work in certain professions now. I'm curious to know if JKR wants male staff prohibited from offering assistance to customers in the bra section, or is it just trans women she thinks are inappropriate?

If you take heroin your GP will help you with blood tests. But if you follow international healthcare protocols and take eg puberty blockers NHS England has told your GP not to help you monitor hormone levels with blood tests. Gender affirming care is, apparently, worse than heroin.

This makes it defemation. She's misrepresenting him and materialy changing a quote attributed to him.
What gets me is this is a quote.
She's quoting Malcolm Mistry, who said "pregnant people", so it's not her job to "correct" him when she's supposedly reporting the exact words he said.

Police are deliberately firing on reporters. This should concern you on so many levels.
Watch the slow motion: it appears to me that the officers discuss the photographer and reporter before the one on the end fires on them (it looks to me like he's aiming at the camera, not the reporter, but you decide)

I cannot overstate this, if rights don't protect everyone, then they protect no one. All categories that we use to devide people into groups are ultimately subjective. They can always be redefined to exclude or include anyone.

Forgive the 2019-posting, but I've been playing Outer Worlds after @theabigailthorn.bsky.social's Nebula video, and it has CONSUMED me. I think her description of games as *agency* fantasies really rung true here – it feels incredible to be able to try and right the wrongs of this sci-fi future

If you're an ally and you see this happening, challenge it. Don't be rude, don't be aggressive, just make it clear that you don't appreciate staff harassing customers with inappropriate questions, and you won't be shopping there in the future. Then make a writan complaint.

I cannot express how disappointed I am in Keir Starmer! A year ago, I was very much a supporter. Granted he wasn't perfect, but I did think he was competent and that his heart was in the right place. Say what you like, he was the first labour leader to win an election since Blair.

Well, the last labour Prime Minister with legal training did start an illegal war, soooooo.........
